
When you have an illness or health condition, it is a life altering event that needs to be given time and space to process.
It can change your relationships, career, outlook and financial situation.
It can involve doctors/ treatments/ lifestyle modifications/therapy that need to be prioritized over other things in your life.
You may experience fluctuations in your mood, energy and your perspective on the situation.
One thing that you need to remember is that whatever you are feeling is valid and those feelings need to be acknowledged.
The other thing to recognize is that you are an individual and although there may be people who have gone through something similar, it’s ok if your experience or feelings are vastly different.
Listen to your body, listen to your mind and do what you need to do to support yourself through this process.
